My son and I absolutely love Salem School! He had a difficult time in a smaller school so we transferred to Salem. Since he had a hard time making friends, the school counselor offered a friendship circle group where my son could learn social skills and meet new peers in his grade. My son has been able to get a good, quality education. The school staff is very supportive and helpful. The school lets parents know what there child is learning and his teacher sends weekly progress reports. Technology is incorporated into student's learning and the website is very informational and easy to navigate. There are also fun after-school activities as well as fundraiser events sponsored by the PTO. We feel a wonderful connection to this school and we couldn't be happier!

My kids went to elementary school here. They did very well in high school because of what they experienced at Salem.

Horrible place to send your child. Teachers are condescending and take criticism personally. Good luck if your child has an IEP. Minimalists. Your child deserves better.

Zero tolerance fbully'sor bullying is a lie. Nothing is done when this is reported to the principal and administration. It goes on with detrimental consequences to the ones being bullied. This needs to change to protect those that are ganged up on by the bully's and their coward coharts.

I agree with the comment about staff being unfriendly with parents. In some dealings with them they have been very condescending and don't dare question them because they are the 'professionals'. And the school is way too big. We are going to be looking for an alternative instead of attending this school again next year.

I think Salem Grade School is an excellent school - the communication between teachers and parents is phenomenal, the curriculum is challenging and prepares students for higher levels of education, and the school is constantly striving for excellence. Despite the physical size of the building, the movement within the building is organized and I have never seen any student lost or crying.

Salem is a great school! What makes a great school is teachers & parents working together. Parents can no longer stand on the sidelines, we have to be involved with our child's education. I've never seen so many parents & teachers step up & and make a school succeed like Salem has. In this economy with so many cut-backs, I'm proud to be a parent at Salem.

My two children went here and I thought the teachers and staff were unfriendly with parents. The school is too crowded and kids were lost in the confusion to get to class. I saw many children crying because they either could not find their class or they did not want their parent to leave them there.

Great place for my kids to get an education. This school seems to have it together.
